Floating would suggest being half-a$$ed. Sinking and swimming indicate action or no action. If it floats, success. If it sinks, then try again. Floating, however, indicates there is no failure and no success... just blah. If it isn't succeeding and it isn't failing, then it's stagnant and unprofitable. Doomed to never grow or start anew.
Some float their entire lives Shuhak. They are the ones who are INDIFFERENT. They see they hear they don't care. Not their problem. I cannot imagine such a life but I believe some treasure it. Different strokes. Thank you for your reply. SIGH.
I can't sink Mrs.C. I never have to move a muscle. I am exceedingly buoyant physically and figuratively. I learned how to swim in my 30's. When I finally stopped tensing up and relaxed I found I could not sink. I tried to go down to the bottom of the pool by holding on to the sides and pushing myself down. The minute I let go I bobbed right up to the top! That was revelation to me. I don't what makes that buoyants. Though I was heavier then..about 130 lbs and I'm about 117 today I was not fat so I can't figure out. My then husband would sink like an achor if he didn't tread furiously. I took every swimming lesson available when I was a kid .. ending with a lifesaving course. I always loved to swim. That's very interesting that you can't sink. I read that people with more muscle mass or body density "sink" easier than those who don't have that. I'm not sure, but I don't remember having any problems diving down to the bottom of a pool. We had to do that in lifesaving to "rescue" bleach bottles full of sand that they tossed in for us to bring back up to the surface. :) Have a great day Rosie!
