The attacker viciously attacks/insults! You ignore completely and continue on your path causing the attacker to win/lose/draw?
I thing ignoring is the best putdown. It makes the attacker show the impotence and irrelevance of the attack. It shows weakness not strength. In my opinion. Just IGNORE IGNORE IGNORE IGNORE IGNORE. What could it hurt?
I don't ignore. I mean I don't necessarily answer right away. And I may look like I am ignoring. I NEVER EVER IGNORE, because I KNOW I SEE EVERTHING and the person is going to see that I do. In my good time.
So, if someone is really being an ahole to me? I will let them hang themselves. Then come back at a better, more advantageous time to retort with my answer.
It will be memorable for them. I usually write a letter. POSTED. In public.
and SIGNED. So, they have it in writing. That I hear you, this is what I stand by, and I mean business. The waiting is the most important part. It lets things settle and not flare up even worse.
I ignore most stuff all the time. I don't pretend to not know when I know. But when I really don't know then there is zero pretending. Different strokes. Thank you for your reply Sharon. It's odd to me that some folks lieterally cannot resist reading everything people say. I ignore easily and often.
