He gave Obama a break and didn't blame him. He laid ALL the blame at Hillary's door. Said it happened on her watch. He must really be afraid of her. He must think she can take him down with one hand tied behind her back. Why else continue to make such ridiculous accusations? Fear does strange things to people doesn't it? What watch would that have been? As Senator from New York?
ISIS did not form until after Obama removed the troops from Iraq. So yes Obama and Hilary as Sec of State allowed the JV team to grow to a world wide threat.
Don't you ever tire of being factually WRONG?
1) Obama removed the troops from Iraq based on the Status of Forces Agreement negotatiate by the BUSH ADMINISTRATION. I know, I know. If another party violates a treaty, they're evil and untrustworthy. But if the USA doesn't like the terms of a treaty, it should just violate it because AMERICA....F***K YEAH!
2) The above situation was combined with the arming and support of anti-Assad rebel forces in Syria, thereby loosening Syrias territorial integrity. Those efforts started in 2006. Pop quiz, hotshot: Who was President then?
3) ISIS is a "worldwide threat" in the same way that Boko Haram is a "worldwide threat" (Hint: it isn't). It's only a "threat" because the United States, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Russia, Iran, and the Kurdish people in the region all want to take advantage of the situation, and none of them can agree on what should be done. Against actual determined opposition (as opposed to Iraqi/Syrian troops who would rather quit than fight for their corrupt governments),ISIS really is "the JV team".
Of course, by ideological necessity, none of this can be admitted, because then it wouldn't all be TEH STOOPID EBIL LIBRUHLZ fault. But you're still wrong.
P.S. Tell me again about those F-14s found in the Iraq desert...;-D..
Hello deaves:
Let's jump to the time "when the Iraqi's didn't get their act together".. You said that, suggesting that Obama left TOO soon. Apparently the Iraqi's were on the verge of "getting their act together".. But, they weren't.. The civil war that our troops were keeping the lid on had NO chance of being solved.. Bush puppet Nouri Al Malike, a Shia Muslim, kept the Sunni Muslims from participating in his government, contrary to the deal Bush made with him in exchange for power. Bush picked the wrong guy - AGAIN!! ISIS started from THOSE disaffected Suni Muslims..
Should Obama have kept our troops there in SPITE of the Status of Forces Agreement?? Maybe, but I don't believe ANYBODY could have kept the lid on that civil war.

Mark Twain — 'Never let the truth get in the way of a good story.' (I'll add a lie)
Senior Campaign Policy Adviser Jake Sullivan, a former State Department official under Clinton: It was President Bush who set the withdrawal date for Americans from Iraq, not President Obama. President Bush signed an agreement that required us to be out by the end of 2011. The Obama administration urged [Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki] to approve our leaving a residual force behind. But Prime Minister Maliki … made it clear that he could not get the Iraqi parliament to do that. Not even for five- or ten-thousand troops.
Condoleezza Rice, who served as Bush’s secretary of state, wrote in her 2011 book, “No Higher Honor,” that Bush did not want to set a deadline “in order to allow conditions on the ground to dictate our decisions.” She wrote that she met with Maliki in August 2008 and secured what she thought was an agreement for a residual force of 40,000 U.S. troops. But she said Maliki soon “reneged” and insisted on “the withdrawal of all U.S. forces by the end of 2011.” She said Bush “swallowed hard” and agreed to what she called “suitable language” to do just that.

:):):) Nice rebuttal excon! Happy Friday! :)

((hugs)) This is a really helpful answer Beans for which I thank you. Thank you as well for the link! I appreciate it my friend! :)

As usual, he and many others are disconnected from actual events, either ignorant of them or ignoring them.
This is a long explanation Rosie, but if you want to know how and why ISIS came about, this will give a fairly neutral perspective. I believe there is no mention of Hilary Clinton as a causal factor.
I love your dry wit MrWitch. Your tagline is precious! Thank you for your reply and the link. Happy Friday to you m'dear! :)

Surprise, surprise, surprise . . .
To most Americans all Arab terrorists are cut from the same cloth irrespective of what they call themselves at any given moment.
As to the latest iterations of those terrorist groups it looks like you conveniently forgot about Hil-LIAR-y's and Obama's Arab Spring that decimated Lybia and to a lesser extent Syria. Egypt almost disintegrated too,and would have if it hadn't had strong military leadership. She was the Secretary of State that engineered that whole mess and opened an unobstructed highway from the middle east to the north. (Maybe the Europeans can send her a thank you note too . . . ) Just one of her many "accomplishments" as SecState. (Racking up miles in US government aircraft is another of her "amazing" feats.)
Obama is not in the Trump's crosshairs because he's not running again; something that we can all be thankful for.
Given all the railing that you do against Trump it looks like you're afraid of him for some reason.
Hello Red:
I'm afraid of him... His presidency will spell the END of the country I love. Cheney was just a warm up act.

:):):) But really :(:(:( And so it goes excon! :)

That's probably because Hillary voted in favor of that war where Obama opposed it.
Sorry, it's really not a surprise that Trump opposed the second Iraq war. It's even less surprising that he would cast blame on Hillary, someone who voted in favor of it, but not Obama, someone who didn't.
His entire shtick is that he sits opposed to the vast majority of Republicans, this position is an example of that, so why would he need to reiterate his opposition to Bush era policy? On the other hand, Hillary claims to sit in stark contrast to failed republican policy and yet this is one of many examples where she's supported their policies outright.
I truly fail to see anything even remotely surprising about this.
We disagree. So what right? Thank you for your reply FNR and Happy Saturday.
