During the JFK/Nixon debates Nixon's appearance worked against him. I think neither Trump nor Clinton have an advantage appearancewise. Otherwise? Who has the advantage? Why?

Both candidates are a lot more tech savvy than Nixon in 1960...They already have done countless hours before the cameras. That will not be a factor.

Hillary will have to take some drugs of some type to make her look like she has energy. Perhaps resting for a week ahead of time will allow her to appear as normal rather than needing to go to bed.

I agree with you, It's a shame that neither one makes me feel good about this election at such a crucial time for the Country and the World.

From my across the pond observers viewpoint, this is how it looks to me. Hillary sat through hours of congressional hearings, so she should be able to sit through a TV debate lasting 90 minutes. She had a recent bought of pneumonia, but that is a short term condition she has recovered from.

Look for the folks at Hanna Barbera Productions to come up with a new cartoon character based on Trump. It could be a super hero that uses his mind changing super powers, or his ability to function endlessly without the benefit of a brain. The man will come across in these debates as silly and cartoonish. All Yosemite Sam will need is a pair of six shooters to fire into the air while yelling:"Where is that crooked, lying, long eared galoot anyway?" 

What a brilliant idea Polk! Seriously. We all know he is a cartoon character but to get financial benefit from it? That is a great idea. I think if HBP does come up with a cartoon such as you sugest they ought to give you a finder's fee or percentage for coming up with something that is perfectly logical, doable, profitable. Thank you for sharing that with us. Can you get a patent on that idea to protect your interests? I'm just sayin' it's gonna make a bundle and you should get your share! :)

Hillary will have be simply perfect HarryD. She will have to be confident/strong/calm/measured/knowledgeable/humorous/friendly/cordial/presidential. All Trump will have to do is show up. His supporters think he is great no matter what and the rest of us do not take him seriously. It is a stacked deck to be sure but hopefully Hillary can pull it off!
