Yes I do. I do not message other men (aside from family and my husband) etc.

My pastor wife talked about this once. Talking about protecting your witness with people.  She gave the example of going to a restaraunt and the hostess wanted to sit them next to the bar with the wall of alcohol bottles behind them.  She asked to be seated at another table.  My first thought was, Why? You were not drinking.

She explained that everyone has camera phone now and anyone could have snapped a picture and claimed the pastors were out drinking.  And had a picture to prove it.

Yes. In my profession you can be penalized for the "appearance of impropriety" No proof required just the appearance of wrong doing.

So avoiding certain activities is a necessity.

IMO..creating a belief of improprieties is in poor taste..  It can lead to much speculation (real or imagined) and can damage one's reputation..  In most things the proper protocol is essential..  Not following same..some may (Figuratively) "LYNCH" you..

You asked..Things are not always what they seem. Nevertheless wouldn't you try to make SURE there was no "appearance" of wrongdoing if you could avoid it? (Loretta Lynch, knowing that Hilliary is under investigation, (by her office) should not have met with Bill in private)..      Now they want to "LYNCH" her.

With this being the big thing in the news, I associated your question with that..    http://www.cnn.com/2016/06/29/politics/bill-clinton-loretta-lynch/

    I should have been specific..
