Authoritarians are bullies who believe they have all the answers and act unilaterally because they think they know best. They want to control everyone and listen to no one. Who can thrive under such a regime as that? What kind of mentality seeks that out? Children who are afraid of the dark and afraid of what will happen to them when their parents are gone? Is that what our electorate has become? Children who are desperately seeking parents to take care of them, hold their hands, fight the demons hiding in the closet and make decisions for them?
Well, hang on to your hat cause I've got news for you. This is a society that has accepted the notion that government not only has a responsibility to meet their every need, but that government carries with it a special enlightenment that smacks of invincibility in its effort to regulate all areas of human endeavor. People want peace, tranquility and security but they seem to think that it can be accomplished without intervention of any form of authority. Historically, people have been known to surrender civil liberties in the name of order. Folks in the good ole USA believe that you can have your cake and eat it too.
