An Answermug friend said that many folks are just now starting to pay attention to the upcoming election. How can that be true? How could you have avoided it the last year? Did you? Why?

Most of the time I already knew who I would vote for so I had little interest in the primaries or the election and this time is different for me but probably not different for many people.

Some people stay out of the main media stream.     I don't think that is the norm.

It has been a while since there was a day when you (and others) allowed us to forget it.

Saints preserve us please!!! Anyone with an ounce of sense left would have abandoned that ridiculous snake oil show long ago. This has been the worst election cycle in the long history of humankind. Editorial wisdom aside, it is a proven fact that most people ignore such things until the point in time in which we find ourselves now. Polls and stats back this up consistently. I applaud their ability to press the off button on the remote and give their attention to constructive pursuits.

guess its because i have other things on my mind
