Every group is a SPECIAL INTEREST. How do you prioritize which goes first which is most important which gets preferential treatment?

Every group believes its needs are most important. No one is going to ADVOCATE anything for "the other". Only for the group it represents. This is the way of the world. This is the way it works. Each group thinks it is more noble most deserving most maligned most badly treated.

    LOL Rosie, are you becoming more cynical these days? I can understand why you would, it's hard to maintain optimism given the unfortunate things you have to put up with there. But I believe people generally are not so cut and dried. We are generally more well-rounded, yes we have our favourite causes, and interests, but I think most of us can see the value in other things too. Yes/

    I am wondering whether you had something specific in mind when you wrote this?

    I did m'dear. I see and hear the advocates for each candidate.  The candidates "go after" or "target" special groups to get their votes. The Latina explains how crucial the Latino vote is to any candidate. The African American tells us that without their vote no candidate can win. The LGBTQ gets in its two cents too. Any group of any size is fair game for every politician. After awhile one sees the pattern. Is the needs of the African American more critical because there are more of them or is it the needs of Latinos because there are more of them? It is what it is. I may indeed be a cynic. I hadn't thought of it that way. The person I would have been privileged to vote for, Kamala Harris, dropped out due to lack of funds. She was our California Attorney General and is currently our US Senator. I have been very familiar with her work and abilities long before the presidency was mentioned. She is VERY SMART and when she is questioning folks she is razor sharp and asks very excellent questions and she usually has liars squirming. I love to see folks squirm because they are full of sh** and they are being called on it. So whomever is left in the running is of no particular interest to me. They are all the same and of course I will support the Dem candidate but without much gusto. Sometimes you have to step back and try to see the forest. I see Bernie supporters every bit as intense and vicious as are the don supporters. No difference. Same TRUE BELIEVERS. They are obsessed with him and ATTACK those who do not share their views. The farther back I stand and look the more absurd the entire thing becomes. So of course I share my views. No one knows which person will do the best by us. It's all opinion. We will only know AFTER THE FACT of the election. So all this kvetching and beseeching and imploring is ridiculous. Thank you for your reply Addb. Did I answer your question? Happy Monday! :)

    ((hugs)) Why you ask? This is probably THE BEST reply I have ever received from you E. And I've received quite a few excellent replies over the years. I keep forgetting that everything all the time is about MONEY and so I thank you for reminding me. I don't why I'm no resistant to accepting the GIVEN. Sigh.
