Nope.  Everything seems the same, around here.

Well, I do have to get a new phone because my operating system is so outdated.
But I don't think that has to do with Corvid-19.

No one is shaking hands any longer. At least that's what's happening on those cable news TV shows. I don't know how old you are Walt but at 82 for me and 84 for Jim our age group is the most vulnerable. A doctor on some show advocates carrying an antibacterial spray with you wherever you go. To spray on what I don't know. Maybe the air? I think we are entering a new phase and I don't think we're going to like it. Of course it is exacerbated by the outlawing of free speech from scientists. Now all info will flow through mikeypounce per the ORDERS of dumb don the scairdy cat girlyman. The dumb of don sez that will prevent confusion. Bullsh**. He wants nothing released that will make him look bad. Everything revolves around him and is about him. So truth is now officially cut off from us. It may not bother you if you're 52. But we don't like it a whole lot. We don't like it all. The monster continues to monsterate daily. What will he come up with next? GOD ONLY KNOWS. Thank you for your reply and Happy Friday! :)

I remember a number of years ago, we were all supposed to carry anti-bacterial wipes / hand lotions.
Then they (scientists) said we were actually making things worse ... because what bacteria that wasn't killed would become resistant.

At least a good thing is coming from this virus.
China is outlawing some of the practices that led to it.  Making it illegal to sell AND buy "wild" animals for pets or food.

I remember that antibacterial craze very vividly Walt. I bought the antibacterial dish soaps and handsoaps exclusively for awhile and then learned I was harming myself long-term potentially. So I stopped years ago and won't have anything like that in my house. However at the market yesterday they were out of those "wipes" they usually have and one of the gals (we're on hugging terms) gave Jim a bottle of antibacterial hand spray that the cashiers use so we sprayed our hands and wiped them with some napkins on the counter of the fresh pizza section. We use the wipes when we go to the market. Wipe down the handles of the carts and the edges. Of course we always wash our hands when we return home or even if we just go outside to pick lemons or whatever. We've been doing that for decades. We rarely ever get a cold and I think the hand washing is why. It's been years since either one of us has had one. Fingers crossed we don't get this Coronavirus thingy. It's particularly hard on old people...65 and above. We fit that demographic. SIGH. Thank you for your reply! :)

  • No, it's business as usual. But then, our definition of "weird" and "spooky" hopefully doesn't line up with yours. They say that most of your folks are now in Texas.

This is only very anecdotal but.. I went for blood tests today - it's a walk in clinic and I noticed everyone was sitting spaced out as in no one, unless they were a couple, sat next to anyone else...

Do not shake hands with anyone. Carry antibacterial spray with you wherever you go. That's what I got from some cable tv news shows from the mouths of doctors yesterday Addb. There is a website in California we are supposed go to for complete instructions. But I think dumb don will shut all of them down. Thank you for your reply! :)
