  • Or is it someone's 15 minutes fame before moving on... The visual equivalent of the sound bite that file a gap before moving on ...

I know all art has to be connected to conventional art. And conventional art is created by people who break all the rules of conventional art, like Picasso. Contemporary art is a lot of "bullshit". Everybody knows that, but it still has to have some meaning. There is conceptual art---that which is made from an idea. Then there is relational aesthetics, which Jeff Koons uses. Marina Abramovic is a part of the Discursive Museum. She uses performance art. Prof. Hans Belting: anthropology of image. Bazon Brock: Fluxus art. Lynne Cooke: curator and writer of contemporary art.

It was stolen from Marg.  She brought this art up and I do not get it.

Well I am confused because I do a lot of this stuff and it is just as good as these goons.  And I don't have a name for it.  So all this stuff is kind of just what people want to label it.  I know what you mean about Picasso being at the forefront of a lot of these ideas but even he would say STOP it already.  Each type of art can be argued as to what it really is and if it really fits that singular definition of what they are saying it is.

But I thank you for this answer which kind of sums it up a whole lot better than I ever could.

Fluxus art huh?  I have to look that one up too.

    Thanks Marg.

    Sharon loves you.

It's true.  We (humans) have always wanted to leave our story behind in a form others could use.  Art is at the heart of that.
