If people actually cared about each other ... the average citizen would self-quarantine themselves when sick. But that isn't reality, as we have evidence every flu season.
As always it comes down more to the "man on the street" or the "frontline" workers, than government officials. The average healthcare worker is far more influential when dealing with disease, than anyone from the CDC or other government agency.
Glad you're here Walt. DJI is suspended at 1884.88 DOWN. The circuitbreaker got triggered. What happens now? Thank you for your reply m'dear. This stock market thingy is spooky. I was listening to NPR talking about the stock market the other day ... they said central banks don't know what to do, because it's a supply problem and not an issue of people not being able to afford to buy things. So messing with interest rates isn't going to help much, if any.
I'm not worried about the stock market. In fact, it's a good time to BUY. The market will go back up, once the hysteria ends and people go back to work.
Of course not m2c. I just made that whole thing up! From the beginning dumb don took it VERY SERIOUSLY. Everyone says so. That I can tell you. Thank you for your reply.
One person's miseria is another person's hysteria Stu B. You know that by now I'm sure. Thank you for your reply and Happy Monday to thee. One man's hysteria is another man's cuppa tea. That's the way it's gotta bee be. Tea for two to too and two to too for tea and me for you and you for me etcetera etcetera etcetera and so forth. Or to put it more simply different strokes for different folks pholkes fokes phokes. :)

No one doubts the existence of this illness. It's there, it's obvious and people are dying. We're certainly not dealing with a dearth of information, cause God knows that's all we're getting twenty four hours a day. The problem is that in the good ole USA, we like to take what is a public health problem and turn it into a political football. Are any of you inside the beltway listening??
