Discussion»Statements»Rosie's Corner» The HOAX sez lower gas prices are good for you. How? You have no place to go to including a job? How is THAT BETTER dumbsh**?
Good point. Our prices are below $1.90 a gallon, but I usually only fill up once a month. The state could add another 25 cent tax and prices would still be low and we could have our streets repaired.

Seriously E? WHOA MOMMA! Well we think we're lucky when we pay $3.15/gallon! Good for Toledo! Many of our streets in Hemet, California are the same wrecks as yours in Tolerdo, Ohio. So we have that in common. SIGH. Thank you for your reply and the photo...which says a lot more than a thousand words. Stay safe. Happy Saturday! :)
Does it affect the cleanliness of the air in Toledo E? Thank you for your reply. Boy that's pretty doggone nifty if there is no negative impact otherwise. :)
Yes it does. They burn the waste gases 24/7 and the nearby air smells. We live the other end of town and we can smell it when the wind blows out of the east. This is our BP refinery.
Condolences to thee E. That's terrible. SIGH. How are things going for ya in Toledo? I hope way better than they are in California. Washington state is really suffering and I think eventually New York may eclipse them in number of cases. We'll get through this of course. Don't we always? But I wonder at the other side of it what the country will have become? Thank you for your reply and Happy Sunday to thee! :)
I'm OK. We went to my granddaughter's 13th B-day party yesterday. My daughter is a nurse and she told me it is possible she may be quarantined. Dad will have to stay home with the four kids, but he is OK with that. We just got our first case of COVID 19 in our county.
Geez. Condolences. :( I really hoped being geographically situated as you are you could escape it. I expect young families will be adjusting MIGHTY BIGLY as this flows through. Having a first responder as your daughter is be QUARANTINED? Not so good if replicated everywhere and I fear it will be. But being a nurse makes your daughter KNOWLEDGEABLE more than the ordinary typical regular folks. SIGh. Your son-in-law sounds like a GEM! Good luck to you and your family E. I hope we're all still here on the other side of it. Some of us won't be. Sad that.

Low gas prices wont do much if no one can get out otr deliver anything. Lower oil prices, can, however, lower heating oil prices (still cold in some part of the country) as well as make the manufacturing of most petroleum based products a bit cheaper (not that at the savings will be passed onto the consumer).
Lower gas prices also mean less gas tax collected. Less gasoline used also means less taxes collected. Of course, the less gasoline that's used, the better it is for the atmosphere. 3 things the current government will not stand for.
That's one of the reason HOAX hates our guv. We are continuing on with the gas emission standards that HOAX rolled back and we are continuing on with the environmental protections that HOAX eliminated. Middle finger salute to the HOAX. Both hands. Well deserved. But we can't do anything about the protections we had for our National Forests. The HOAX removed them and now anyone can go in and cut down trees and build strip malls. SIGH. Thank you for your reply Shuhak. I remember camping out in Yosemite when I was 14. We watch the Ken Burns specials on National Forests. The series was made while President Obama was in charge so what was true then is no longer true. So sad. :(
Excellent point L! What do you pay per gallon in New York? Element said in Toledo they pay LESS THAN $1.90 a gallon. In Hemet the lowest we've found is $3.13. I know gas is cheaper in Nevada and Arizona. I guess California gas is the highest due to EPA. In summer our gas is specially treated to help protect the environment. I believe in europe the cost of gas (petrol?) is sky high! Thank you for your reply! :)
It varies depending on where you buy - I've seen it out on Long Island for as low as $2.25 at Exxon, other stations in the same area go for about $2.35. Also depends on which gas you use - Exxon is usually a little more, there's Speedway that has very low prices, but I'm leery since they got caught selling what was supposed to be a higher octane than it actually was. The gas station nearest me is about $2.50 (they are right near the expressway and always have had high prices). I filled up at Gulf station last week and wish I needed gas now. :) Yes, Europe pays a very high price and CA, too because of the emissions regulations.
Wow I remember way back when we had prices like that too. I wonder if we will ever see them again? Thank you for your thoughtful and informative reply L! :)
Anything HOAX says or does is always going to be good for you m2c. Lucky you. He is very bad for many of us but well as long as your life is going swell what the he**! Right? Thank you for your reply.
