You will overcome. You will survive all of this phony baloney. Live your lives as you always do bellycrawling for the HOAX begging whining rolling over for the HOAX. You'll be just fine. Especially your old people. Make sure they don't stop going out and about among crowds. That will show the HOAX haters how much their hate matters. C'mon. Whatcha waiting for? Go out and celebrate and party hearty and pray to the HOAX for his deliverance of you from the evil of TRUTH.

According to official counts, as of Monday morning, at least 6,329 people have died of COVID-19, about half of them outside mainland China. So far, the United States has 3,599 cases of the Corona Virus with 66 deaths having been recorded. Obviously the exact numbers aren't known. Now, as a comparison, let's look at the influenza numbers. The C.D.C. estimates* that, from October 1, 2019, through March 7, 2020, there have been: 36,000,000 to 51,000,000 flu illnesses. From those flu illnesses, there have been 22,000 to 55,000 deaths. Sixty-six COVID-19 deaths in the United States compared with 22,000 to 55,000 flu deaths in the United States. Quite a glaring difference.

So, what's my point? Clearly, the coronavirus is something not to be ignored when thousands have lost their lives, mostly in China.  But so far, the threat has been blown completely out of proportion.  With the competition from the old media that has lost so much of their power to the new media in the last ten to twenty years, they need events like the spread of the coronavirus to exaggerate in order to stay relevant.  But staying relevant does not necessarily benefit the public when information is skewed to scare people into thinking and feeling a certain way.  It's causing a nation-wide panic when there shouldn't be one.
