How do you answer this question? We have been conditioned to answer, “Caucasian,” or “African American,” “Hispanic,” “Asian,” etc. Many think in terms of skin color, white, black, brown, etc. As far as the Bible is concerned, there are many nationalities, but there is only one race! Therefore, when you fill out a form asking you what race you are, why not simply answer: The Human Race? Having said that, whether or not the attack on this Asian woman was called a racially motivated attack is irrelevant. Skin color is irrelevant. One's nationality is irrelevant. Regardless of our nationality or skin color, an attack is an attack and it should have been stopped. I do agree with you that there will be more attacks. There always are. And, unfortunately, many of them will be irresponsibly labeled as racist attacks. All of this politically correct terminology has invaded our society, shoved down our throats, and so entrenche... less

Guns are nothing but a tool and in the hands of one man, they can be used to maintain freedom and protect the family. While in the hands of another it’s a potential weapon of mass destruction. Gun-control and gun confiscation measures affect only the law-abiding citizens who are lawful gun owners. They do nothing to stop the criminal element. Gun control isn’t about guns or safety. It’s about control of the people. Gun Control is a euphemism for "disarm the public" The real purpose is to leave only "officials" armed. Gun control has always been controversial. And there’s a reason it’s controversial — gun control doesn’t work. If gun control only stopped criminals and made the world safe, there would be no controversy at all. But that’s not the case, is it? It remains among the most controversial of political policies and there’s a reason, and I repeat: It doesn’t work as advertised. Most new gu... less

To put it another way, Joe Biden is urging the Supreme Court to impose restrictions on the Fourth Amendment protections and permit warrantless gun confiscation. It's one thing if a known felon possesses firearms but it looks as if Joe Biden wants to include all law-abiding, lawful gun owners in his attack against the fourth Amendment. I love to sing to music. Music generates emotions in me like nothing else. I listen to a song and I think, yes, now that was a great song! When I hear it I may cheer, cry, or both. Though I have heard great music in my life, it wasn't until the last few years that I have really heard this music as it was intended to be heard. Not with just the mind but with the heart. My favorite music to listen to is the old church hymns written in the sixteen hundreds to the early nineteen hundreds. And, believe it or not, I love classical music. It's hard for me to put into words just how great and just how epic this music is to me. Sorry about rambling on so but music moves me. :) less

America has been in a rapid moral decline for decades and all of these hate groups and hatred, in general, are only symptoms of this moral decline. And, the thing is, this moral decline is not random but rather organized destruction. The media, the entertainment industry, some of our own politicians, and academia have been in an unremitting assault on religion and traditional values for many years. Because these attacks have been going on for so long and because they are so subtle, many people have become so desensitized to them, they are all but totally oblivious to it now. So they blame the symptoms of this destruction rather than blaming the causes of it. As always, just my opinion. :) less

I used to have that obsession and would feel guilty if I couldn't help everyone all the time. It got to the point where it began to take a toll on me mentally and physically. One person can't save the whole world. However, if you can be there for two or three people, those same two or three people can be there for two or three others. It's the old snowball effect. A pay it forward situation. One person starts the process and it grows from there. Helping just one person can start something big. At least, that's how I see anyhow. I may be wrong. :) less

A good example of how parts of society protect the perps is in the camera footage of a man beating up an Asian woman in front of several people. This criminal was put in prison for stabbing his mother to death back, I believe, in 2002. But he was placed on lifetime parole and the result of that parole was the brutal attack on this 65-year-old Asian woman. He walked up to her, kicked her to the ground, kicked her several more times in the head while she was down, then simply walked away. I was appalled and quite angry watching that footage. I was also appalled and angry watching those several people standing there watching the whole attack and doing "absolutely nothing" to stop it. Then I watched as one of the men, who witnessed the attack, close the door of the building while the Asian woman was still laying on the ground outside. What on earth has happened to our society?! But it seems that those in charge of apprehending and arresting the criminals have their hands tied by the powers that be. If the criminals are brought in, they are let go an hour after arrest. Also, many of those who are in charge of handing down the appropriate sentences are being overridden by other powers that be. It's becoming a no-win situation and the innocent are the ones that suffer for it. Perhaps if we can get rid of the malevolent, spineless, and corrupt individuals in seats of power then maybe we can get back to some semblance of normalcy. less

I guess it depends on what you put your trust in. That's what's great about a good relationship, you are there to compliment each other and to help each other when you have your doubts. When I do my research I check out several different sources, conservative, liberal, and middle of the road. I check the checkers so to speak. When the checking is done, I go with the material and sources that look to be prevalent and with a history of reliability. However, there are some subjects that have no real clear evidence either way. When that happens I just don't answer a question. I don't like to guess or assume anything. One year we may have a mild Winter while the next could be blistering cold with a lot of snow. The same with violent weather in the Spring and summer. Some of the thunderstorms we get here would make your toenails curl. We haven't had that many tornadoes for a few years now but that could change anytime. Lake Michigan affects our weather quite often. Sometimes for the good and other times for the bad. We have also had our share of blizzards here. In 1967 a blizzard dumped almost three feet of snow. Why would they perpetuate anything they suffered from? Good question. Maybe out of a sense of duty to their ethnic background or out of a sense of revenge. Or they may feel the need to mete out their own brand of justice just because they can or out of hatred for themselves being born. Who knows. A prime example of what you are talking about is the 1967 riot that took place here in Michigan, in Detroit, and the surrounding areas. The people rioted, supposedly, in protest of the assassination of Martin Luther King. And apparently not only for his death but for the racial injustices and discrimination they had and were experiencing. So what do they do? Perform the same injustices and discrimination, in a violent manner, against the innocent, black and white. The real injustice here is that in the riot of 1967, 43 people were killed/murdered. Ten whites and thirty-three blacks. Not to mention the extensive property damage that was caused an... less

We were quite fortunate that the F5 didn't veer a little further north because it would have wiped out our entire village had it done so. As it was, the thing bent the tree horizontally and dropped some healthy-sized hail on us. The tornado that lifted my truck came out of nowhere. Did what it did then left as fast as it entered. No damage to my truck but it damaged my nerves for a few days. No, it didn't hit or drop me with a thud. It actually gently lifted me up and just as gently set me back down, facing in the same direction. The people that saw it happen were all pointing at me saying did you see the guy in the blue truck? It was definitely a day I'll always remember. Tornadoes are formed when cold dry air and warm moist air collide. When they hit they begin to swirl. Sometimes not much will come of it. If you are either born in the United States or have become a naturalized citizen, you have the right to vote regardless of color. Those who do not have the right to vote are those who are in this country illegally and are not citizens. The laws are quite specific in that area. You simply do not allow non-citizens to vote. Look it up. I realize Biden wants illegals to be able to vote, and some cities, like San Francisco, do allow illegals to vote. To make this a law would legalize vote harvesting across the entire country, which would also use your tax dollars to do it, and limit free speech drastically. All in the name of “democracy.” In a "democracy" perhaps they could get away with this but America is the Constitutional Republic and is not allowed.
