Don't minimize our efforts, we also have to call for pizza delivery and place orders on Amazon.

My father had to fight through most of WW2.  In bad weather, with the enemy sending bullets and artillery shells his way, he had stuff like canned sardines and Spam to eat. Day after day. Year after year. He was wounded but refused the 'Purple Heart' medal because "everybody had some injury, so we shrugged it (the medal) off and did the best we could." Of course, his son, me, did not gain entry into the military due to a childhood disability. This post was edited by B.H.Wilson at March 21, 2020 2:03 PM MDT

We have grown soft in this country.  We complain about not enough toilet paper and paper towels.  What would we all do if we had to make the same sacrifices as they did in WWII - food and gas rationing, among other things.  How would we manage without our smart phones, flat screen TVs, the internet?  It's a good thing we only have to fight a virus and not a world war.
