Is open carry for white people only?

No, but you should know the laws where ever you are at if you intend to open carry.  In my state open carry is legal but not in my town.  Some states require a permit to own a gun or ammo. Some only require it for a hand gun. Some allow it but not in certain types of establishments.

Open carry also does not mean in your pants, under your shirt, in your pocket, etc...that is conceal carry and you generally required to have a permit.   Open carry should be a properly holster firearm in plain sight.

And in any situtation with the police if they request you drop it or surrender it, you are required to do so.

  • Apparently yes. Black people having a gun on hand just reinforces the idea of the "scary black male" that needs to be put down.

I'm reminded of the Planned Parenthood shooter in Colorado: white, armed, and actually shooting at police and hitting them, yet was still captured alive.

Clearly. If black people carry firearms, they're obviously "thugs, gangbangers and big bad dudes". Actually, strike that. Regardless of whether or not they have firearms, they're thugs, gangbangers and big bad dudes. RIGHT??

    SMH!

Absolutely.  Non-whites are forever the victim of white oppression.  There can only be one reason why anyone would be suspicious of a minority member openly carrying a gun.  They MUST be racist.

    LOLOLOL!

The 2nd Amendment was created for the purpose of arming whites against slaves.... Slave revolts were a genuine fear in Southern States, especially in Virginia.... Citizen Soldiers forming a well regulated militia was the Founding Fathers way of suppressing possible  " Revolts"....Thomas  Jefferson, Patrick Henry and James Madison lobbied long and hard for the 2nd Amendment...

This being the case one would think African Americans would be the most ardent supporters of the right to keep and bear.

That same overwhelming fear of the Great Black Uprising has been replaced by the fear of being disarmed and taken to the FEMA labor camps by your Government. Either way it helps to sell more guns !

    Yep.

But I would personally prefer that the concentration of so many guns in the hands of so few were more evenly distributed as was once the case in this country.  At one time almost every American citizen owned a firearm, but the number of weapons in total (i.e., the 'citizen arsenal') was about the same as today.  All gun laws have managed to accomplish is to put more guns in the hands of fewer people.

And that's not good.  That is yet another reason why I don't like 'gun control.'
