I heard that some are helping in food banks as up to 60% of their volunteers aren't coming in. I don't blame them. 99% of the volunteers at this local Food Bank are over 70. With so many people out of work, food banks are being overwhelmed. Personally, I'm glad to hear that the Guard is helping.
I do hope so and the sooner the better. All those people that absolutely refused to believe that Democrats in DC wouldn't force their agenda in such a time and situation as this, are perhaps about to get a taste of Soviet style Socialism at its very best. Everyone that whined, cried, begged and prayed for it deserves it to the maximum. The only problem is that the rest of us will have to pay the price with you. One more intense international crisis coming on the heels of this one, ought to just about finish off this little experiment in democracy we've enjoyed for two hundred plus years. But Hey, we'll have the urgent demands for abortion met, expanded and empowered unions and a five year ultimatum to airlines to make their carbon footprint disappear. All of these little items are desperately needed in a fight against the threat of viral illness. Or as Rep Clyburn of South Carolina has said, this is the opportunity to scrap the system and start over.
