What's up with this? Detroit's population is approx 675,000 with 540 dead from the virus.

Ohio's population is almost 12 million and the entire state has fewer than 400 deaths. I guess Gov. Mike Dewine was ahead of the curve.

  • Detroit is mostly poor and black and those are demographics that have been hit more harshly.

    It could be a function of the availability and quality of healthcare facilities plus a lot of people in close proximity as in other large cities.

    Lifestyle
    Culture
    Race
    Healthcare availability
