I would have BET on it L! Me too. Though I do think some people have excellent instincts and where that is based I don't know. I think I shall ask. Thank you for your reply L! :) This post was edited by RosieG at April 25, 2020 6:38 AM MDT

Their good instincts come from accurate information that they process and when it makes sense, they adopt it.

Contrary to how GAG operates. "Accurate information" is anathema to him. Processing anything sensible is not gonna happen on his watch. SIGH. Thank you for your reply! It was 95 here yesterday and will be again today! AARRGGHH! Oh well I'm staying inside all day so it matters not! How is your weather gonna be? Better than ours hopefully! :)

Anyone with two brain cells left can't understand Trump.

Yesterday, it rained almost all day and was in the mid-40s.  Today the sun is out full bore and we should be around 50.  I'm going outside today come hell or high water.  I'll be careful and wear my mask, but I definitely need and airing out.  Tomorrow and Monday looks like rain.

I'm not a hot weather person, so 95 is way too hot for me.  I don't look forward to those days in the summer.  One of my air conditioners is not cooling as well as it should and when this quarantine is over, I need to do something about it before the heat comes along.

I know you're far more physically active than I am L. I have always been a homebody since I can remember. Home has always been my most safest and favorite place. I've thought at times I could be a bit agoraphobic. It was never enough to keep me from getting jobs or earning a living. Different strokes! Thank you for your reply m'dear! :)

I used to be more active and I used to travel a lot more, but after 9/11, flying anywhere became such a hassle that I did very little of it.  I think the last time I flew anywhere was five years ago when I flew down to Nashville to my nephew's wedding.  I'm somewhat of a homebody, too, but I like getting out of the house, too.  In "normal" times, I drive out to see my sisters on Long Island, and my sister in PA.  When I'm down there, we go to craft shows and barn sales.  I almost never buy anything because I have everything I need and anything I buy now is just another dust collector, but it's fun to walk around on a nice day.

The last time we were on a plane was in May 2010! We flew to Honolulu to attend our son's wedding. Haven't been on one since we returned nor will we. The hassle of traveling to LAX (100 miles away), parking, schlepping the luggage by tram to the proper airlines. Schepping them to the right gate. Going through security..undressing and redressing and running like he** through the airport because you need to be a a gate farthest away. Getting on board and having no place to stow any luggage because the selfish jerks took all the space above your seat. Anyway you get the picture. We ain't gonna do dat nasty ting no more. If anyone wants to see us they will come to us. There is email and phones. Bah humbug. before 9/11 travel was not the ordeal it became. Everything changed. But I don't have to tell you that. You were living at the center of it. Thank you for your reply L! :) Oh I have ONE sister who lives in Carson City, Nevada a 10-hour drive. They used to live in Highland, California 45 minutes away. Last time we saw them was when they drove down for my sister's high school reunion two years ago. They planned to drive down last year but my brother-in-law has health issues so the timing wasn't workable. Maybe next year? This post was edited by RosieG at April 25, 2020 8:24 AM MDT

I totally dislike the entire process we have to go through to fly anywhere.  For me, LaGuardia is 15 minutes away and JFK 25 minutes, but you have to get to the airport so much earlier, go through hoops to clear security and then wait, and wait, and wait.  LGA is in the process of being reconstructed and the traffic sometimes insurmountable to get there on time for your flight.  I have seen traffic so bad at times that people get out of their rides and walk to the terminal because nothing is moving.  I used to take one suitcase that fit in the overhead, but they've made that shorter now and I can't get it in back to front which takes up too much room for anyone else.  I don't fly often enough to buy new luggage, so I pay the extra fee to check it.  I find that it's much easier getting around the airport if I don't have to schlep it with me.  I am never in much of a rush to get out of the airport that I can't wait for the carousel with my bag.  It used to be a fun experience, but I don't find it fun anymore.

Exactly. More rules minimize/mitigate/eliminate fun. I remember decades ago taking someone to the airport to catch a flight was EXCITING. You could actually go to the gate and look out the window and watch the plane take off. Which I often did. now you can't go anywhere unless you have a ticket and jump through all the hoops and loopty loops. Fun becomes an ordeal. I'm going to ask. Thank you for your personal experience and I suspect you are not alone by a longshot. SIGH! :)

Exactly. But we do have our memories of earlier times. Which is nice I think. Thank you for your reply L! :)

It saddens me when I read of folks with Alzheimers or senility. They are robbed of memories. Thank you for your reply L. Will we make more memories futurely that we will cherish? One would hope so! :)
