The American electorate used to be smarter. We were never in a pickle like this before. Why did we dumb down so drastically? Reality TV?

Should reality and television even be used in the same sentence? Television is one of the most deceptive, mind controlling, and dangerous forms of media. Followed closely by the movie and music industries. Those three have have contributed more to the dumbing down of America than almost anything else. Just my opinion of course.
