How do you prevent getting emails for every notification?

There should be an option on email notifications. It should be distinguished from site notifications. Some people do not like receiving emails regarding this. Settings' options seems to be "bare bones now."

    sure
    just uncheck the boxes in the 
    notifications
    no more email
    and your alerts still show up on the top of the page at the bell.

    I want to know the answer to that question also. I got over 20 emails from Answermug.
    I'd just like to know when someone comments on my answer. I unchecked the block in
    notifications, and I still get emails.

    just unclick the box that says send me notifications after you answer the question
