Discussion»Statements»Rosie's Corner» You WARN someone about something. You are ignored and it happens. Do you feel sorry for the ignorer or nothing at all? Why?
Compassion for the foolish is something I'm still working on. There is nothing better than the satisfaction of being able to say, "I told you so". When it comes to this, I have a very hard time biting my tongue. I may not feel sorry for what they did, but I do feel sorry that they (or others) had to suffer because they didn't listen.
You are farther along in that than I am Shuhak and I've had a lot longer to work toward it. But you know what? It is just not within me to care about people who willfully purposefully not only refuse to listen but mock ridicule insult. When the sh** hits the fan and what you said pans out I don't give a rat's a** about them at all. I tried and failed and for my attempt I am mocked ridiculed attacked insulted. Not a good ROI. Not that I expect thanks but I do expect civility. Those folks are incapable of it. I may not say "I TOLD YOU SO" but on the sidelines watching them eat the fruits of their labor and find it bitter or sour doth not displease me. At this age I doubt there is any change within me. They are know-it-alls and filled with arrogance and certitude. I wash my hands of them. Why bother? See what I mean? I'm hopeless. Thank you for your reply! :)
