Discussion»Statements»Rosie's Corner» This question is inspired by an Answermug friend. Would you rather sit home getting a $40K/year dole or go out and work for less?
So m'dear which would YOU rather do? The amount of money is simply illustrative and is therefore entirely irrelevant. Are you a lazy welfare-loving lazy a** sleazebag or do you have dignity and prefer to work and EARN your living? Thank you for your reply R and Happy Friday/Saturday! :)
The hardest job is getting a job. Of course I prefer to work, but finding an employer who will give you a start isn't easy in this economy. Computers don't need wages, sick days, retirement benefits, so if a computer can do the job, the computer gets the job. My old profession was practically wiped out.
You know m'dear back in the day I never once had to worry about getting a job. Not once. If things weren't working out where I worked I'd find another. I wasn't really a job hopper though but I never ever held on to a job for fear of not finding another. I was clearly spoiled. I mean many folks worked at only one place for 30 years and retired. That was not uncommon then. But the world is vastly different now. Greed is more apparent and the way employers (not all but many) treat employees is sad. Not that they are a precious resource but rather that they are all alike..expendable and interchangeable. I don't know if this will always be the way it is. I hope not. Some companies (few and far between) are noted for how well they treat their employees. Those are very smart people. But smart doesn't matter when you have the power. I mean look at headcheese. What do you think it will take to ring your country's economy ROARING back? Thank you for your reply R! :)
