News is news, Rosie. There are times when I wish certain things weren't true but they are, whether I like it or not. That's what is known as bad news (e.g. the Right Wing Government winning the election). What sort of "news" were you thinking of, Rosie?
Any kind of provable truth a political supporter refuses to believe is true. For example the anti-global warming folks who insist global warming is a hoax. All the proof in the world matters not to them one bit. It doesn't agree with their political philosophy so it must be a lie. That kind of news. Thank you for your reply Andy! :)
