We wouldn't need to find a vaccine for something that doesn't exist. See the can of worms headcheese has opened up? What was he thinking?

He shouldda ignored it all entirely. NO boring daily hours and hours of "briefings" for months. He just shouldda ignored it completely and attacked tweeting anyone who even mentioned it. Fired anyone who indicated any knowledge of its existence. Laughed mocked ridiculed and moved on. HE BLEW IT and now he is stuck with it. HE OWNS IT.

Good thing President Trump never said the SARS-2 or Covid-19 never existed.

But many people in US do consider Covid-19 as a hoax if I've heard right!

No, that is not right. Everyone knows it exists.  It has killed people of course it exists.

The hoax is the way the Dems in Washington have used it to claim Trump was not doing what is right or needed for the country. The claims that Trump would/will not listen to the scientists about the disease.

I've heard many saying US would have been in a better situation had there been a good government and people running it! Is it just an opinion?

You have heard Dems and leftist media spouting their opinions. This is the hoax in action.
President is not in charge of the states. That is governors and local leaders.   President has done many things starting in Jan to combat the disease. He has worked with manufacturers to get needed equipment made. Sometimes this was forcefully.

But here governors are in charge of their states. They issue the orders.  One ordered nursing homes to accept Covid residences.  Now in that state has 30% of their deaths are in the nursing homes.  Again (not Trump fault or even authority) this is the Governors job.

Trump has done what he can do on a national level. There was an issues with tests early on...they were showing false positives. They fixed it. We have now tested over 10M.

Presidents/PMs of most of the countries have announced nationwide lockdown following Covid-19 outbreak in their respective countries despite separate state governments and authorities. US too could have done that but I'm not sure if that was done. Even today only few of the states are under lockdown if I'm not wrong! Rapid testing is indeed something that Us is getting praised for across the globe!

Here the President can request that people stay at home. But he does not have the authority to issue that order.  That power resides with our Governors and local leaders.  Not all of our states issued a stay at home orders or shutdown non-essential businesses.  ie. My business was shutdown but not by the President or even my Governor but by my Mayor and city counsel.
(I would love to vote him out next election but I do not live in town...so oh well)

The country should not be treated the same way everywhere.  We are all in different areas and have different amounts of cases etc.  We should all be treated as if we are in NYC.
ie. My county has had 12 cases total....2 are active. 2 deaths and 8 recoveries. This post was edited by my2cents at May 16, 2020 1:08 PM MDT

Oh Is that so!! Concerning to see governance system in US! I do understand that every country has its own systems at work but whatever has done, can not be undone and should now only focus on how to deal with it in a best possible way! I really hope this Corona thing should end now across the Globe!
Hope you're staying home and keeping safe! Your county seems to have control the situation very well.. Good luck with 2 active cases. My prayers for their early recovery!
