No. It doesn't work like that. If we had fewer tests we'd have fewer CONFIRMED cases. If you don't test you don't find out.
The powers that be seems to believe the fault lies in the amount of testing and with fewer tests there'd be fewer cases. The number of cases doesn't change. Only the knowledge of them does. The powers that be doesn't seem capable of grasping that very basic truth.
Testing doesn't increase cases. Testing increases the knowledge about how many infections there are.
You cannot convince the powers that be of that basic simple rudimentary ordinary average standard truth.
The number of cases of cancer won't go down just because we didn't test. The number of cancers will remain the same whether or not we know about them. Only more people will die from ignorance as the cancers metastasize. Same is true of COVID 19. Wonder what the logic block in the head of the powers that be could be? YOU understand that don't you? It doesn't take a genius to grasp that fact...stable or otherwise.
And so we are led by someone who really doesn't understand the problem. Aye there's the rub.
