The World Health Organization (WHO) Stopped/Ceased/Quit the clinical trials testing the efficacy of Hydrochlorox. WHY d'ya s'pose they did?

Turns out Hydrochlorox did NOTHING to help stem the virus damage and did cause heart problems in some.

In other words it hurt some folks and did not help anyone. Concerns for the safety of the takers aborted the testing. Imagine that?

So the don took it for weeks he sez but actually probably didn't. Another lie in his repertoire arsenal of lies.

Mass taking of this (if folks are that stupid dumb) will lead to heart problems for some and help FOR NONE with the virus. Blithering idiots all of them.

Yet. There are people who it saved.  It was the drug given and they are now alive.

There was a Dem State Representative Karen Whitsett. It saved her life. Amy Klobochar's husband was saved by the drug. And many many more.

Think the WHO is taking orders from China? Guess who makes money if the cheap drug ($14.95 for a month supply) does not work out? Whoever gets to something else first and China wants that money and good PR for getting a treatment. This post was edited by my2cents at May 26, 2020 7:51 AM MDT

Virtually every drug will have some positive effect when administered.  That has to be weighed against using it for something for which it was not intended and the negative, sometimes deadly, effects it has on more people than it helps.  Hydroxychloroquine is used for malaria and some auto-immune diseases.  It's benefits outweigh its negatives for THOSE illnesses.

I call saving a life a benefit when administered for this disease....a positive effect.

No, every drug do not has a positive effect when used.

Just what clinical study has been done?  Have they completed any?  Not to my knowledge.

Only one completed and that was by China back in Feb.  They did not release results.  Rest are pending.

None of these studies show that this drug is sufficiently effective against Covid-19 and indicate that the deleterious effects can cause death.

I buy into that very BIGLY. Some things I know I wish I didn't. Knowing wasn't remoteful helpful. What's the use of knowing if it doesn't work on your behalf? Thank you for your reply L! !

Knowledge is king.  How can you make informed decisions without knowing the facts?  I will agree with you that there are people for whom facts mean nothing, so they just follow the leader and do what they're told.  They are called sheep.

Doing anything because others do it never made much sense to me L. Doing it because it makes sense to you to do it is the only rational basis for doing anything. In my opinion of course. Why would anyone do anything that doesn't make any sense to do? But it seems that millions of people do or rather as you said...no thinking is involved. They just do what they're told and don't worry their pretty little heads thinking. Too much work!. Thank you for your reply and Happy Thursday to you! Today's high 96 :( Tomorrow 88! Saturday 85! :) Going in the right direction! This post was edited by RosieG at May 28, 2020 8:31 AM MDT

I agree with you.  If it doesn't make sense to me to do something, I just go my own way - even if I'm a majority of one!  Some folks are just better at following orders without questioning them.

Today it cloudy and humid - about 70 right now and possible showers later today.  High of 75 - not bad although I would prefer less humidity.  Happy Thursday. :)

Again, these are not clinical studies we were told we must have to evaluate the drugs.

Hydroxychloroquine is best used early to prevent the disease from developing in to the pneumonia. The observational studies you linked were of people farther along in the progression of the disease. The Wedmd was specific to Covid19 pneumonia.

I know there are numerous other countries who have also said they were going to continue to use because of the success they have observed.   India uses it a preventive for the hospital workers.  Alergia has said they will continue as they that seen is save 1,000s.

Ah, yes - let's believe that India and Algeria are the ultimate experts on this subject.

Why would it be listed by the WHO as an essential medicine if it is not safe to use?  To make this list medicines must be safe and cost effective.

It's safe to use for malaria and lupus.

That is not what it is listed for in the WHOs list.  Arthritis.  So it is not curing and is an ongoing treatment.  And is SAFE if taken properly, under Doctors care (as every drug should be)

When taken for the conditions for which it was intended.  What don't you understand about that?  You're just determined to agree with Trump even if both of you are wrong.  This ends my part in the discussion - I've had enough.

If it caused heart attacks....it will cause them regardless of the disease being treated.

It doesn't work terribly effectively against COVID-19 and its known side effects include cardiac arrhythmia.
I rather hope that His Royal Orangeness IS taking it as he claims to be. That combined with his corpulence and indolent lifestyle is a recipe for a classical infarction and it can't happen soon enough.

I think that might well have been another lie to gin up the number of people who took it. I think he has a financial interest in it which is the ONLY reason he would snake oil sell anything. You know R we've been pals for a very long time. A confession to you from moi for your eyes only. I swear this is true. Every time I see IT (the powers that be on TV) I mute the sound and say "DROP DEAD". No I am not proud of it but I'm there where I have never been before. As if it will do any good. But for the moment when I say it I feel better. BAD ROSIE. Thank you for your reply! :)
