"It isn't only an American problem. It's got to change". Impassioned words from a Brit who happens to be black. Our SISTER. Any questions?

Right now a very large protest is going on in the streets of central London. IMPASSIONED participants who are mad as he**. Not an American problem. A human problem. D'ya think it's been going on quite long enough now and should morph into decency respect for our fellow human beings? Or are we still so slow and clueless we don't even know what the problem is?

You don't know about the most recent black man murdered by a cop? Protests have been going on for days worldwide in solidarity D. A cop had his knee on the neck of a man lying down on the ground. Two other cops held his legs down. The man kept saying "I CAN'T BREATHE" and the cop didn't budge. After FIVE MINUTES the man didn't move. The cop kept his knee on the neck for almost 4 more minutes. There were witnesses who kept telling the murderer cop the guy couldn't breathe. That is what is being protested. The murderer has been charged with THIRD DEGREE MURDER (depraved indifference) and MANSLAUGHTER. The 3 watchers who did nothing to stop it haven't been charged yet. It has led to huge protests since it happened. So that woman was speaking for whatever problems she as a black woman has faced. She happened to be in London because she is a Brit. Any more questions and I'll tell you what I know. Thank you for your reply. The protests have nothing to do with anything political...it has everything to do with how blacks have been treated for centuroes by whites everywhere. Sadly. :( This post was edited by RosieG at May 31, 2020 8:39 AM MDT

I did look on line to see why...it said what you said...you live in a very scary country Rosie...It does happen here to Who ever our police kill ,no one gets charged ....you just can't have people in charge being seen to commit crimes...it just doesn't make the government look good around the world....
Your policeman couldn't have been bothered if the guy lived or died...I bet his in shock now though.....what are the odds of him being found not guilty...
I think you going to be in for a lot more riots as they were in the past...
I'm still in shock from the black guy and his wife that got stopped in his car.....a policeman jumped onto his bonnet and empted his gun into both of them...I think he reloaded 5 or 7 times....  they found no weapons or drugs...
Im so glad most of our police are unarmed.....I have quite a few stories of the crass things our police do when armed.
We use to have something called the Mint run....It's two 7.5 armoured lorries taking money from the Mint in a place called Theydon Bois about 15 miles north east of London to the Bank of England in the City of London...
My dad was sitting next to my brother who was a learner driver at the time...Some how my brother got in the middle of the armed convoy...as he turned down a side road a halfwitted armed policeman held up his semiautomatic rifle to show them....my dad and brother almost wet themselves from laughing so much...
When I was younger  I went with my dads good friend to a shooting range...I was horrified by the line of guys to my  right side...They were doing nothing more that posing with guns...it was embarrassing for  me to watch them...Far worse was when my dads friend said that we're the elite of our armed police...
To be honest ,I wouldt feel safe next to them if they they only had pointed sticks to play with....

I appreciate your taking the time to look it up honey. I do. I know you care a lot and I appreciate that too. I know there will be more race riots or political riots or riot riots. Anything to gin up life. These sots are so boringly bored with life they act out just to prove they actually live and breathe. A bane on our existence and I sadly believe they copulate with one another and propagate at an alarming rate. Soon we will be gone and they will be all there is. When I don't know but I see it coming. At least your country is NOT maddeningly afflicted with gun obsession. Ours is and the gun folks take great pride in it and brag about how many they own. Imagine? Bragging about how many weapons you have at your disposal to kill living things? They get off on it. SIGH. I wonder what gun people would be obsessed with if there were no guns? If guns had never been invented? I shall ask and see what happens. So far so good for you and the family healthwise? Good. STAY SAFE D!  I'm counting on you to always be there for me until I am nothing more than a memory! :) This post was edited by RosieG at May 31, 2020 3:55 PM MDT

Don't worry so Rosie...I'm sure you'll be remember for a long time yet.lol..
So far we are all ok.....I don't think any of my family are planning to go back to work yet...
I can understand people needing a rifle if they live out in the middle of nowhere....but in built up areas ,who needs guns.
I hope he gets done for first degree murder... the others were clearly excessories as well.only.time will tell if it's going to be another cover up though..

I do think putting guns in anyone's hands will always end up with someone getting hurt somewhere...

I can understand having a rifle. One of our sons used to hunt but is into motorcycles now. Maybe have a handgun if you are in a dangerous profession. But the obsession with them and taking loaded guns everywhere they go is absurd. Well of course as a nongun person it is ABSURD to me. It indicates they are always ready for trouble. Do they HOPE for it? I dunno. Crackpot wackdoodles do. How many gun people are crackpot wackadoodles I don't know. Too many for sure. You're right. Being charged and have a jury convict a cop? What are the odds? Thank you for your reply D! :)

Tell me Rosie....if you were on a jury and was ordered by the judge to find someone not guilty on a point of law or for what ever crazy reason that lwyers of the judge says....would you change your view .....
    i don't think I would/could change what I think is right...
Would a poor man have the same chan es of staying out of prison as Harvy Weinstine per se.....I don't think that has ever happened
Does your son hunt for pleasure or for food....I don't want to kill and animail apart from flies and gnats that bite and spread infections..

America was stolen by the gun and that I think is the thing about why America is obsessed with have its guns now.....if it happened once ,it can happen again...Just look what happened to Hawaii when America wanted that as a base....Hawaiian's live under American laws...how can that be right...
Lok what the English did to Australia and New Zealsnd ....how can that be right and not addressed now to.....
All laws are made by the rich and powerful and those with the most destructive weapons...what chance of Justice if poor and faced with fighting that....
They State has endless financial resorces and controls the media ....what chance for a poor person to get justice

Our son hasn't hunted or years. When it did is was for food. How can a judge ORDER a jury to find anything? I have never heard of such a thing as that. Why have a jury if judge is going to control the finding in ADVANCE? Makes no sense. If a WHAT IF? No. I don't do orders. I do requests if I understand what they entail AND AGREE. If disagree I don't do order. I'd quit or withdraw or leave or abstain. I don't get bullied into anything D. Not my nature. That's why there exist the ACLU...American Civil Liberties Union. That's where lawyers go who want to work to protect the poor the ill-treated the powerless. Do you have something comparable in your country? An advocate for the poor? Hawaii is a STATE D. Of course it must abide by American Law as does every other states. I think our territories do too. Why is that shocking to you? Thank you for your pithy and informative reply. Did I answer your questions okey dokey? Okey dokey D! :)
