What are the reflections around 'Foodfight!' on modern day politics?!

Category: Silly Questions.

Someone refused discussing this very hot topic in private. Lets get it out in the open then and see if we 4 hours from now are talking about Sausage Party and it's reflection of society's preoccupation with sex. Who is going to take the first dip (sorry the pun is unintentionally) into this question?

  • I think it's obvious that Mr. Clipboard was a representation of government trying to step in and crush small business.  It's bad enough that he wanted to outsource to a major company and sacrifice quality for price....but he did not need to stomp on those chips the way he did.

What's needed is rarely dictating how things are done. Will there be a correlation between the urge for destruction and the society's preoccupation with sex? This post was edited by Benedict Arnold at October 3, 2016 2:07 PM MDT

  • What was needed was Ms. Butterworth having a more prominent role in this movie.

You think? Wouldn't have left much space for the Sausage Party!

  • I have a feeling Ms. Butterworth would have been all about a sausage party. Her societal parallel I always thought ran closest to that of the prostitute.

That's definitely one angle on it. What viewpoints will the pacifists have on this?

  • I myself dabbled in pacifism once.  Not in 'Nam of course.   Let me tell you something Dude.  Pacifism is not something to hide behind.   Look at our current situation with that camel f***er in Iraq.

  • See Saph??  Now you know how it feels to ask a question and get a response that addresses nothing.  ;P

Good one, or at least as long as you think I didn't get your message the first time and it satisfies you.

Well there are quite a few similarities. People fling stuff at each other, ostensibly in the hope that it will convince them of something that have nothing to do with the stuff that is flung. It is also a 'herd' behavior (like stampedes) that can gather up other people and drag them into participating ('war' is a third word for the same thing).
Additionally whatever is flung have actual, real world, value. It is typically destroyed (or at lest cheapened) in the process. For politics that would be truth and honesty. For food fights it is liver pate and tuna sandwiches.
