Allegedly Georgia does not have a HATE CRIME law. Figgers. They frolic about in hate/export it to other states. Why would they outlaw it?

    Personally, I do not agree with the idea of a hate crime law.  Why should someone get a more severe punishment for harming a "protected class" than anyone else?   Harming people/murdering people should be a crime regardless of the race/sex/gender/orientation of the victim.

     If hatred in and of itself was a crime, a substantial part of humanity would be breaking that law at one point or another and some on a daily basis. There will always be people that hate and no amount of hate crime laws will stop them from doing it. Laws cannot change nor dictate what's in a person's heart and mind. That change has to come from within. Now, physical attacks, mayhem, murder, etc, is a whole different matter and should most definitely be punished as my2cents mentioned.
