Hundreds of thousands of trump supporters would show up. There was an outdoor area set up for the "overflow" where trump would also speak but it was taken down before trump showed up since it was obvious there would be no overflow.
What was hoped for? After he spoke there would be a million-person march to show support for him. No march either.
He chose Oklahoma because it is a deep red state already in his pocket and all his. So a lot of folks would show up. But you also have this thing about life being precious and all so his deep red state supporters opted for life not him. That is a big blow since he is so used to being the first choice on the menu.
The spin was in yesterday before he arrived. That protesters were to blame for blocking attendees from ever getting in. The cop presence was obvious. I think considering how they have acted in the past it is doubtful the weaponized cops would be bowled over by unweaponized protesters and back off. Especially since cops are solidly for trump apparently. We will listen to a litany of reasons for the small turnout from the trump sons and the trump his very own self and the trump supporters. SIGH.
