As long as someone filed correctly and paid whatever amount they were supposed to pay (even if the amount is $0) I got no problems.

Do you pay more taxes than you are required?   I don't.

Paying taxes is not PATRIOTIC...it is a requirement and government robbery in many cases. This post was edited by my2cents at October 4, 2016 11:03 AM MDT

How much extra tax have you decided to pay voluntarily? My accountant has never asked me how much extra that I want to give the government that I do not owe so I assume that is not a popular option. If a law that says trump should pay zero dollars is in place then why trump is at fault instead of the people responsible for that law and who kept that law in place for many many years?  Even today there is no talk of changing that law and hillary is also using that law. So nothing will change. Hillary is saying how wrong this is but she is doing the same and will not change the law if she is elected. Does that make any sense? Of course it does not. Nothing will ever change with hillary.

Shortly after the end of the revolution congress needed some cash, so they enacted a tax exactly like the one that sparked the war. It was a tax on whiskey, only paid by some hillbillies in Pennsylvania. Of course they refused to pay. George Washington personally led the army there to collect the tax at gunpoint. You can google "whiskey rebellion" to get the full story.

The income tax was presented to the people during WW2 as a matter of patriotism, although it was a part of the plan that birthed the Federal Reserve some fifty years earlier. Everybody just sort of forgot that the constitution prohibits direct taxation.

Now tell me about this "patriotism" of which you speak.
