      Via my Thrift Saving Plan (TSP), I certainly have, but it’s different than me personally trying to select stocks or me personally hiring a broker to select for me. I am by no means any expert at it myself and for that reason would never deign to advise anyone. 

    (Psssst, having said all that, you can always invest in randomrandyddotcom if you like . . . )

    That's exactly what I'm doing, but the no-brainer part is to never invest more than you can afford to lose.

    I have a financial advisor who watches over my money, but I also have a "play" stock account that I direct on my own when I find a stock that is under $25 a share and I think it is something that is likely to grow.  It is money that if lost, won't create a hardship for me.  However, I wouldn't give financial advise to anyone else.

    I have financials advisors for two accounts. When the virus hit, I thought I was going to have a heart attack when I saw how much I lost. It has since bounced back. The other account actually made money. Advise? Leave it to a pro.

      (Advise Advice)

      I lost $50,000 from my 401k due to the virus and its ramifications. Imagine how many sandwiches and tildes that represe . . . it’s better if I do t torture myself thinking about it.
