Anyone YOU know or know of with COVID 19 who either survived it or died from it? Just got a call from our son Gary. Sad news. WHAT?

Well our daughter-in-law has a very large family with aunts and uncles and counsins and brothers all of whom liive in Mexico. All college-educated professionals so they know the proper things to do.

I lost count when Gary told us how many of her relatives either have it now or died from it. Mayabe 8 or 10. It just came in and spread. They were being careful and following the rules.

She is brokenhearted of course. Gary and she have been to Mexico a few times so he knows all of them. We didn't know anyone in the family had it.

So fingers crossed no one you know or know of has it. Sobering news. More to come I expect as the surges and spikes continue upward.

Good luck.

Please accept my deepest sympathies for your family.

A friend of mine died from it about 50 years after we'd first met, but on top of a weak heart and severe Alzheimer's. He was only 68. He was in a home where two other, older residents contracted Covid-19 but recovered.

He widow told me he had developed a fever, and he died quite suddenly and actually unexpectedly, right while his carers were seeking medical help. They turned back to him and thought at first he'd fallen asleep as he did frequently, then realised he had - but for ever. At least it was quick and peaceful.

Thank you so much for your kind words Durdle. Sadly I also have to say condolences to you too. I expect all of us will be hearing that and saying that a lot. This is not the GLOBAL citizen I ever wanted to be. Not like this. Gosh I wish someone had asked us. Silly thought. Thank you for your reply m'dear! Chin up right? What other choice is there?

    That is sad.

Personally, I do not know anyone with the virus.  I know a distant cousin has/had it. (I have not met him)  A month or so ago....I have not heard anything else. I assume he is still alive perhaps even recovered by now.

Well honey Gary called early this morning on his way to work just to touch base and check on us. He does that all the time so we thought it would be a regular call. We are heartbroken for Rosa. Of course she can't go down there so that makes it worse. Mourning long distance? Cruel and sad. I hope your cousin is doing well and I truly sincerely hope you and your family (extended to friends) make it through unscathed. SIGH. Thank you for your reply m2c. May GOD watch out for us through this. You know I never pray to GOD to ask for anything. I talk to him every day but I never ask for anything. I'm asking now to bring this to an end. Maybe it's because I'm old and tired of being afraid and fear hearing more losses.

    That is so sad.

I know many people who have had the virus (mostly from my family), but so far I don’t know anyone who has died from it.
