Why is it I can't sign in with my new password on my iPad?

First I got signed out out of my iPhone. So I signed in. Next I' trying to use my iPad and I can't sign in. So do I have to change my password again to sign in on my iPad?

    It's the same password no matter platform or device. It must be something else.
