Too bad we can't travel back in time to find out who was the first liar, the first murderer, the first torturer, etc. Wouldja like to know?

I'd like to know what the first liar lied about.

What the first murderer had against the person he/she murdered

What depraved high did the torturer seek and was he/she ever tortured upon by others?

Not particularly. What would be the point? There's no changing the past.

To paraphrase:  You can't know where you're going if you don't know where you've been.

Which is why we keep repeating repeating repeating because we have learned nothing from our history so we are doomed to repeat it. Thank you for your reply L! :)

Pretty much and now, people are looking to re-write history, so it will be even more difficult.  Happy Saturday. :)

Thank you my dear. Our high today...are you sitting down? 105! Same for tomorrow. Plenty of food in the house. No need to go today or tomorrow. I know your weather is better but it matters not if we stay inside! Thank goodness for air conditioning! Mercy me how could we live without it? How did they? :)

We had a high of 96 earlier in the week.  With the humidity, it was miserable, but I didn't have to go out, so ... Yesterday, we had a lot of rain from that tropical storm that came up the coast.  The temps were not that high, but the humidity was 84%.  Today will be warmer.  Right now, it's cloudy, but I don't think it will stay that way.  I've been having trouble with my living room air conditioner.  I thought it was the outlet, but yesterday, it gave up the ghost.  Thank heaven for the bedroom A/C which works very well and if I don't wait until the house gets too warm, I can get away with just that one and a couple of fans.  I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to replace the other one.  If we have a real heat wave, one 8,000 BTU unit is not going to be enough.

Condolences for the loss of the AC. Our landlord had ours replaced several years ago. it was 25 years old and kept breaking down. So far so good! Good luck with having your weather drop down to acceptable levels. We have whole-house and it sounds like you have individual units. Hopefully that means it won't be so extremely expensive to replace it! Thank you for your reply L! STAY SAFE and STAY COOL!

I do have window air conditioners which is less expensive than full-house because I can turn it off in the room I'm not in.  I have to see if a couple of the maintenance men will remove it from my window and install a new one when I get it.  There are some good deals out there, so it won't be too expensive.
