  • Suspend your incredulity but my defence of the meat pie - a mainstay of Northern European carb-based diets - against claims of it being an 'abomination of nature' and an 'ungodly incestuous union' of stew and pastry led to my attempt to post a poll question.
    Unfortunately I did it wrong, but I wanted this nonsense talk to be roundly denounced.
