What does a dementia clock drawing look like?

And why are dementia patients asked to draw clocks sometimes?

It's a quick way of screening for cognitive impairment, to see if they can get the hands, and right amount of numbers in the correct order.

    Easy peasy - it's 10:15.

You have to work at it for a few moments to realise the clock in Element's photo does run clockwise so it is showing 10:10. It makes you doubt yourself at first glance.  I have seen clocks with the 12 at the top, but numbered and running anti-clockwise.

I had a friend who suffered from very severe Alzheimers, but I do not know if he was ever given the clock test. His widow has not mentioned it.

I have been given word-list memory-tests but as just one part of a national longitudinal study, and as it was not personally diagnostic I was not told my scores.
