I see a lot of questions posted making generalizations about entire countries full of people.

It hurts my head too. I asked about this a couple weeks ago.
Here's my theory. Humans evolved to generalize in order to avoid threats. We generally favor people within our own group and treat others outside it with less regard- sometimes even as a threat. Perhaps early humans benefited from this, because it helped keep their families or tribes safe. Now, we have a hard time overcoming how we're wired. I'd love to hear feedback on that concept.

I don't think like that and I challenge generalisations like that when I see them.

Interesting theory and it just may be true! In any case, it makes a lot of sense to me.
