    Well, I have a tomato variety in my garden called 'Israel'. The plants come from a local nurseryman who gets the seeds from his friends in Israel. These are large tomatoes that are a bit different from most 'American' varieties. They are very dark green with little red color on the outside. The plant only produces two or three fruits, so they are not popular with producers. They taste like any other heirloom tomato, but I have won first place in the local county fair 'largest tomato' contest with these.

    I have ALWAYS wondered why we are always kissing Israel's ASS.......yes, what DO they do for us?  if they DO do stuff, then why don't we ever hear about it????????? HUH??????

    anyone with a real answer, please let me know...........!!!!

    Hi ben. Tell ya the truth I have asked this or similar questions in the past and I NEVER GET AN ANSWER. I think that must be  because Israel does nothing for us. They are a friend in name only and it is a one-way street. The US does all the giving/doing and Israel does all the taking. I'm disappointed because I really would like to know how they are our friend? What they have done for us that required something from them? How often? It is a  sincere question and  I don't get knowledgable answers. But I keep hoping. Maybe one day someone out there can tell me. Thank you for your reply and Happy Tuesday! :)

    I agree!! NO ONE will ever answer this question......but you can bet yur ass (pardon, but the term seems to fit!!!) that if it was the other way around, that WE were getting stuff from them, there'd be all kinds of answers!!!

    I have always wondered why this is so........but then, just who the heck COULD you ask for an answer to this question? no one I can think of........

    but it DOEs get old.....and on the same line of thinking, there's the holocaust OF COURSE it was terrible, sad, etc., but does no one remember ALL THE OTHER ETHNIC GROUPS THAT SUFFERED AT THAT TIME?   look at what Stalin did to his own people, the mass starvation, etc.

    oh well, sigh again!!!!

    if you ever do find out the answer to the question, be sure to post it here!! and me the same......but don't hold your breath!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
