grass is stupid

Perhaps you haven't smoked the higher-quality stuff.

Grass is just grass.  Stupid is the relationship that the suburban human has with grass.  We give this undeserving plant extensive care.  We water, it we fertilize it, we murder trees and cover the site of the massacre with grass. We subject it to our rule under threat of sharp blades. We bully our fellow humans that do not properly exert their rule of authority over grass. A vegetable garden would be more fulfilling. 

Yet the famous poet Walt Whitman wrote a whole book about grass ------- 'Leaves of Grass'.
