  • Perhaps "balance your checkbook?"

What sparked this question was a conversation with my dad last night where I for some reason tried to renew my eternal struggle to get him to do online banking.

I’ve never balanced a check book either. I have a thing on my banking app that shows money in and money out for the month called” insights” ... if I showed you a screen shot of my last month you probably couldn’t be my friend anymore if you’re into balancing lol. I don’t know wtf happened last month. I think I’m turning off insights

Make sure your balance is what you thought it was....see what has come in and is still out.  If you missed anything.

I had 2000 more dollars go out last month than came in Lol. I usually keep a healthy float in my account so I didn’t really notice.. but too see that in my report  did kind of made me sick :/ I did but a studio spin bike online though, so there’s that.

No. That is what on-line banking is for.  I would mess my account all the time if I had to wait for a monthly statement.  (And did back then) I log in at least once a week.
