    President Trump is not promoting it. He is not who brought it up. The press asked him about an article written by a Constitutional attorney. Who made the argument that is depending on the interpretation of the 14th amendment Sen Harris may not meet the requirements to be an "natual born citizen."   
    There has long been debate on the proper interpretation of the amendment. 

    President Trump has said neither he nor his campaign nor his administration is persueing the issue.
