Number-wise, non-mammal likely outnumber mammals. Because fish and other aquatic pets may come in close as people tend to have more than one of these in their home.  I have at least 30 or so mini-shrimp in one aquarium.

So in my home, non-mammals outnumber mammals as pets.

    2 cats.
    1 Gecko
    1 Tortoise
    5 neon tetras
    30+ mini shrimp

Just counting households with pets....mammals likely win.

M2C does have a point with the fish.

I really don't know. Since my own morals dictate that wild animals should not be kept as pets, I hope mammals outnumber non-mammals, but I truly have no idea.
