Are Dems more often elected to govern in cities than Republicans? Crime is more often found in cities. Does one cause the other?

Dipstick sez there is more crime in Dem controlled cities.

If true is their fault? Do Dems love criminals and crime?

Actually Trump is mostly correct. Of the 20 most violent cities in America, 17 are run by Democrats, 2 by Independents, and 1 by a Republican

I live in Michigan and Detroit has been named Michigan’s most dangerous city, according to statistics collected by the FBI. In terms of violent crimes, the city ranks near the top of the 20 most violent cities list nationally.

Detroit has had a Democrat mayor for the last 30 years and little to nothing has been done about the violent crime. So, in this case, much or most of the blame falls on the mayor. Not to mention that Michigan's power-hungry Governor is a Democrat who has done much more harm than good since she has been in office. So as a Michigander, I have to say yes, it is their fault that we have the mess we do now.

Unless of course, this statement is true; and in which case, your "yes" would seem to have little---if any---basis in fact.

If cities have become synonymous with Democratic politics today, that is true in part because Republicans have largely given up on them.

Reality does not always consist of what we currently personally observe and therefore think it to be true.

Generally, cities are ran by Dems.  And crime is higher in cities.
Why?  Your guess is a good as anyone's.

Certainly failing schools, cops not being allowed to do their jobs, removal of cash bail...etc play a part in it.
