    I'd say it is normally a strength!

    There would no doubt be circumstances in which anyone could be forgiven for not being compassionate, but I think they would be rare and extreme cases.

    I think so too Durdle. I agree that there is much strength there. Showing compassion makes you vulnerable of course which  is also a strength in my opinion. Thank you for your thoughtful reply! :)
