Many look through politically partisan lenses which distorts everything. Yet they continue to do so 24/7. Why?

Their position is that everything they believe is totally right and all the not thems who disagree are totally wrong so there is no incentive to change anything. And so it does. Life on planet earth forever more. Will it ever be thus or can we look forward to the day we all grow up and learn how to be our better selves?
