I never forget anyone who was a significant part of my life.
If the relationship ends then I accept it and move on.

  • I agree; lesson learned. Only because ripping their heart out and crushing it in front of them while laughing hysterically is somehow frowned upon.

AS IF.   As if I have any control in how I feel or what is the best way.  There is only ONE way.  The old fashioned one.  TIME.

  • You sit for a while, you rub the sore spots where you landed, then you get up, figure out why the saddle came off the horse, fix the problem and get back on ... Or you remain sitting in the dust ... I'm not a horse person but I believe the best rides are those hardest to tame ... Good luck!

I know what didn't work, alcohol.  It got me numb for a little while, and led to embarrassing myself with messages, pleading for another chance, etc.  It also fueled my already developing addiction, which wasn't healthy.

Realize that there's more to life than just some silly person. They're in your past now. Move on. I've never let a failed relationship bother me for more than a day. There's just way too many faaaaar more important things in life to worry about.

I takes a LONG time to get into my pants, months rather than days. So there is always a good chance that they are also in my DNA. This post was edited by Vetrov at October 15, 2016 6:46 PM MDT
