    That is because usually an attack on Trump also mentions his supporters. 

    ie.
    How can you be a Christian and support Trump who has lied XX,XXX times/had affairs/ etc?

    How can you support Trump and not be a racist/bigot/sexist/etc?

    Trump supporters are all stupid rednecks.

    Etc, etc, etc..... it goes not all day everyday.  In the media, on social media, in the work place.
