I had high hopes for Mitt Romney but he turns out to be a dipstick too. He subscribes to gibberish blather nonsense. How?

He said refusing to allow the nomination of the Obama choice was "consistent with history".

He sez supporting the demented duck normination is also "consistent with history"

They are absolutely OPPOSITES

If both are in fact consistent with history that means that there has always been wackadoodlenoodle crackpots in the Senate. Consistency does not mean logical or good or right or useful or helpful or patriotic.

Consistency in stupidity? Seriously Mitt? Well you lost me. You are just like the rest of your ilk. Not a compliment.

No. Romney is correct. (It pains me to say it...but in this case he is)

When the Senate and the Presidency are the same party....historically they will confirm a late term or even a lame duck appointment.
And when they are opposite parties...the Senate will refuse to confirm.

And in this case with Romney saying he will vote to confirm....as long as the nominee is not a crazy non-starter. Senate Rep have the votes to approve the appointment.  This post was edited by my2cents at September 22, 2020 4:33 PM MDT
